Volunteer Childcare In Orphanage / Day Care Home
Volunteer to help children as a friend and a caregiver as they deserve love, support, education and safe and healthy environments. You must have passion to serve the children and provide them with plenty of love. You will also have to be flexible and willing to learn newer things.
Experience and language proviciency isn't needed as far as you have the your sincere gesture to extend love and kindness for children.
Years of civil war and the recent political and economic instability has encountered Sri Lanka will remain mired in poverty for a long time. The government is slowly rebuilding the country but it still cannot provide enough support to the orphaned & less priviledge children. The orphaned children in the big cities depend on local organizations or they face life in the streets with no little chance of a better future. The orphanages, started by many local organizations and some by government, not only house the children, they feed, educate and provide them clothes. With this, the children can start to dream of escaping poverty one day.
The 'VSL' project works to establish sincere & genuine child care with its own Orphanage & Day Care Home set up in a extremely less fortunate village near town of Galle.  The orphanage and day care home is doing a ince job of raising the children and need dedicated volunteers to establish a meaningful childcare offering.
The volunteers can support the kids in Teaching, mainly English or any other children friendly work you can, becoming involved in music, art, dance and other activities, working on the personal hygiene of the children, being part of cleaning and cooking & feeding activities in the home, working & playing with children in the garden and carrying out door activities, assisting with home administrative tasks and possible fundraising to meet the improvements, developments and essential changes you could support contributing to a better physical and mental happiness of these less priviledge.
Join the project now and make a truly positive impact on the lives of less fortunate children while at the same time explore a fascinating picturesque Sri Lankan landscape and its culture.
