Volunteer Sri Lanka Needs Your Help

Thank you all for your support!

P.K. Lakshika Thilini, a student of the Nursing Training School where our volunteers teach, was diagnosed with papillary carcinoma and had her thyroid gland removed, however, afterwards it was discovered that this cancerous situation has spread to the lymphatic glands, too. Lakshika needed 220.000 Rs for her life saving treatment. Thanks to the generous support of past volunteers the necessary funds were raised very quickly, and Lakshika entered the hospital on March 24, 2012. Her surgery was in early April. We hope she makes a full recovery.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed so generously.
